Track Name: Morning Dove
Just beginning to gather myself from the mess, then you punctuate all the names on the list. Ten years ago, to the day, I was blessed with the gift of dismay and a void in my chest. So I give thanks for the weight on my soul. I count these blessings and pray to be whole. Found myself a new way out. There's no sense in believing now. Put me in the ground. I'll never hear the sweetest sound. If I find my peace I will hate what is left, cause I've learned to keep all this grief in my head. I'm a slave now to my anger and I can't be left alone. I forgive myself for leaving, but I never found a home.
Track Name: Penumbra
Promise me we'll stay forever. The sun hangs over my head beating vibrant and red. I've heard my name become a reason to lose yourself in a daze. There's not a lot to say. Don't speak. You know I'm aching. I try to bear with everyone, but you've heard I'm not a perfect son. And it hurts to be honest. I'm not choking on which words to say, but I'd like to find a better way.Promise me we'll stay forever. The sun hangs over my head, beating vibrant and red. I've heard my name become a reason to lose yourself in a daze. There's not a lot to say,and I'm running out of mistakes.
Track Name: Shell
Dodging bullets at the right times. Think it over in your right mind. How could you know? Cleanse your self of the disease. Crunching numbers isn't easy. But where do you go? Where did you go? Turn into yourself, empty and cold. Your body, a shell. No, you wouldn't tell. Still losing sleep like anyone else. There's a mother on her knees, but you're the static on my screen. How does it feel to be turning the wheel? So make some wrong from all your rights. I swear the sentience won't bite. But how would you know? How would you know? I know you've been so, all alone.
Track Name: Pity
I'm ashamed of what I am, but what I am is what you made me. And the weight of this has grown, but it's still hanging from my shoulders. I believe you speak the truth, but 'all in love' can't feel this way. Yeah, you tied the rope. And it's only a reflection in temporary solitude. And it's hanging in the balance of confidence and punishment. Does it feel right when you tell me that it’s everything you needed? But a condition doesn't make me an undertaking for your cause. I've been bleeding from the eyes, cause I see me the way you do. Could someone pull me down? Cause I've been nailed up to delusion. I thought you'd know that it’s all because of
you. Yeah, you tied the rope. And it's only a reflection in temporary solitude. And it's hanging in the balance of confidence and punishment. Does it feel right when you tell me that it’s everything you needed? But a condition doesn't make me an undertaking for your cause. I'll be the thorn lodged in your side. I'll be the damage to your pride.
Track Name: Maricopa
There was no surprise my name came with a price. Did you pay in gold with a body in denial? I was a rambler's son, if I had to tell someone. While I've been losing blood, it's been building in your lungs. I am the burden. Yeah, I am the pain in your eyes. And I wasn't the first, so I'm not sure I'll last through the night. I was the open book, but there are some pages I’d never let you write. But I'll stay the open door if only you turn out the light. I've been abandoned. Can anyone answer for me? Cause I've cut myself open. Is it too much to ask for relief? So pull me from the vine. I'll be grafted in with time.
Track Name: Empty You
Because my instinct is to tear another hole in myself, you'll be afraid of ever calming me down. You should start living. Yeah, you should start living again. And I've been coming up with reasons to change. They say the chemicals have got to be safe. I think I should start loving. I think I should start loving again. Call you on the drive home. Tell you this is gonna be it. Cause I live in a cycle. I promise you don't want to begin. Could take the low road by driving right over the edge. Take another little trip in my head, but the come down is wearing me out. I wish I could stop wearing you out. And if all my misgivings are true, I'll need a reason
not to empty you. It was only a vision in a moment so transient. It was only a vision. Call you on the drive home. I'm glad it's over. I'm glad it's over now.
Track Name: Dim
I'll be myself again if the means outweigh the end. See my sorrow dim the light in your eyes. But I'm afraid of where I'll go when I die. I don't need anything. You're lying through your teeth, and I guess it’s all right. Heaven knows you'll be standing on the shore at sunrise. And when the ship goes down, you'll be the first to know. And your sinking doubt will hold my head below. I'll pour myself into this dark and empty room. I hope my voice keeps you awake at night and fills the empty space that I couldn't fight. See my sorrow dim the light in your eyes. Fill the empty space that I couldn't fight.
Track Name: Porcelain
And your hands swell with the broken glass on a high rage. Smoke and mirrors, and a last stand. Take a low road. Take what you did best. Cause the night sweats are a familiar scent. You're scared of your sun-burnt skin. I'll be careful with your porcelain. You felt an angel, only second hand. Some kind of victim with a naive plan. The slow unearthing of a lover’s grave. If only we can bury all the years of blame. You're scared of your sun-burnt skin. I'll be careful with your porcelain. Like I'm using, feel you move right through my veins. And you’re choosing your contentment over pain. And you're free now. Yeah I'm free now.
Track Name: Out Of Body
You spoke of vacancy and felt your body running dry. I've been noticing certain patterns will collide, a trick of light. Cause nothing ever manifests a lie, but you're scolded if you ever tow the line. See the flashes in your eyes. I want to believe. Could you take me there sometime? You're held responsible, but I see the movement your spine. Unaware at all, you're a patient for the sky. You're growing blind. The evidence is all around us. Open up my mind to notice. Someone's here. I know it's over my head, but I won't be conscious of anything. You can take me any time in the evening or night. A room that's flooded in light.
Track Name: Violent Light
I stole a piece of you, I believe. No richer than I was, deceive me. A violet, convoluted paraphrase. Sanguine, if I am. Say when we can begin again. I traced the pattern onto my skin. Such delicately bruised, communiqué. I can't stop staring into the sun.
